Hello,I am wondering if it is possible to run FreeNAS on Proxmox with the disks passed through to the FreeNAS vm (similar to RDM)?I currently run a similar set up with OMV, however, I like the look of some of the features that ZFS gives me.My host does not support vt-D and I do not have a HBA, otherwise I would do it properly. The other possibility is running my router on a separate box (old i5 with 6GB of ram), however, I would still like to run a Windows DC, which from my understanding I cannot run on FreeNAS. Yea, the amount of resources is really low unfortunately. I do have a MikroTik router that I can use (however I would prefer Sophos because it does web ad blocking), which would allow me to run just windows on the i5.I have another question about FreeNAS, do the jails use FreeBSD, or can I run CentOS or Debian on them? I don't have any experience with FreeBSD outside of pfSense which I only used for about 2 months.Would you recommend I put the SSD in the FreeNAS server, or use it in the second host (as opposed to the 1TB OS drive that I'd take out of the server)?.
