I've been running 4.1.3 since just after it was released on bothWindowsand Linux boxes.It has been totally stable.You'll not notice a lot of difference in functionality if you'vebeenkeeping your 4.1.2 fixpacks up to date. If you've not been applying4.1.2fixpacks (lots of people are not even aware these things exist)then youwill notice a lot of new functionality, particularly in support ofDB2 forz/OS features.However the big thing about it is that the underlying Eclipseversion hasbeen brought up to date.
This has two main benefits for us. Firstlyitallows shell sharing with a lot of other IBM products (such as thelatestIMS Explorer and IDz).
But more importantly for us, it brings theEclipseto a version where lots of the plugins we want to use are going tocontinueworking - we were starting to struggle with a lot of plugins,particularlythose for the various source control packages we use since theversions forthe Eclipse in 4.1.2 were either not being maintained or were insome caseseven disappearing from repositories. This new version has fixedtheseproblems.Incidentally, I only discovered after I'd upgraded my firstinstallation insitu (one sometimes gets carried away and reads the releasenotesafterwards) that you are supposed to do a clean install ratherthaninstalling over 4.1.2. I've done both and not had a problem witheitherapproach. There will be an update to Installation Manager first ineithercase.

It stillhas major functionality problems (failures) with SSL/TLS whenconnected to DB2 for z/OS. I’m not very hopeful for a fixanytime soon.
