I actually prefer object-based power because it makes it so that you can both give and take power from someone without destroying them. FT has this problem where the main characters can't die due to the nature of the manga. If there were an object intermediate that could be tampered with, it actually allows you to find that object's weakness, rather than the opponent.I also really like the political stuff, because not many Manga go outside Japanese, US, or German cultures. It's nice seeing some brown people for a change, and the discussion of currency is nice.
It's not like they're using Code Geass level plotlines that would never work. Unreal how people can think rave master is better than fairy tail. It has things prick edge lords love like a unique setting and darker storytelling, but the pacing is atrocious. I mean you like trash like death note so it's understandable but I'm not sure how you can say rave master had better art. The proportions were inconsistent and he has gotten 100x better at facial expressions. Not to mention fairy tail has a much better, deeper, cast of characters. And let's not like just because it has a cool edgy mature story that eve master doesn't blow ft out of the water in terms of asspulls and bullshit.
Nowhere near the best in terms of quality of his work (in terms of writing, not his artwork, which is great), but a great mangaka in the fact that he works extremely hard (works harder than any other mangaka that I know of), engages with fans (on twitter) regularly and attends events, expresses his appreciation of fans regularly (even international fans) and always tries to keep his fans informed (like hinting the continuation of the anime, even when he's not aloud to talk about it). On top of that, he seems like a pretty cool guy. He likes video games and western media (such as GOT, BTTF, marvel stuff etc.).
