Check out.No promoting of 'backdoor' access into usenet providers' networks. This includes hacking, using a loophole, or other methods not publicly advertised by the usenet provider. I've seen a similar kludge to force it working before as well. I use a typical HW server for my primary, and tweaknews.eu as a secondary.

I've noticed that if the primary HW server is missing a couple parts, it will slow to zero and not query the secondary server. If I disable the primary server (just uncheck the box in config) it will instantly go to the secondary server and finish up. I then just re-enable the primary server. Not the same issue as you, but similar kick to make it move again. I've also been getting slow download speeds on 2.2.1.

I sometimes max out at 3.2MB/s but it is often 500-700KB/s and I had paused it and then re-enabled it after checking settings and was getting 50KB/s. Stopped and started again later and was back to the 500-700KB/s range. Later on it would go back to 3.2MB/s. Speedtesting normally showed no problems with my connection and this was happening through multiple usenet providers. It has been happening for a few days now, sometimes full speed but large times where it is slowed down. I kept my queue the same when swapping back and forth from 2.2.0 and 2.2.1. For some reason when the bug was happening my 2.2.1 would always start and continue the download at around 200-500KB/s, and when I would kill 2.2.1 and start up 2.2.0 with the same queue 2.2.0 would start and hold the download at 6MB/s.

I did this swap about 4 or 5 times with the same results before it finally resolved itself and 2.2.1 no longer had slow downloads.2.2.1 was downloading at 300-500KB/s for hours, I left it on for a few hours to see if it would go away, when it didn't that's when I started debugging. The article was in fact missing parts so my backup servers were being used, one of the things I did was look at the active connections at the time and it seemed like SABnzbd was jumping around to all the servers for a split second but not actually downloading anything. Even if I moved my queue around it didn't seem to fix the issue in 2.2.1. It was almost like the missing part handling was going haywire and kept trying to find parts at new servers but never downloading them.

(I know that's its purpose but it didn't seem like it was working or was stuck in a loop.)I will try the test build of 2.3.0. I honestly wish I had the steps to reproduce, since that would be infinitely more helpful than my user story above. If I see the problem happening again I'll take a snapshot of the VM and hopefully that will save the state when the problem exists.Edit: fix some grammar and clarity.

Had the same issue, rolled back to 2.1.0 which is working fine. I usually get around 22MB down, after upgrading to 2.2.1 (with items already in my download queue) the download speed dropped to around 100 - 300k, these files were old and out of retention on some of my servers. If I added a more current item to the queue the speed jumped up to 1.5MB, still way off my usual max speed. Downgraded to 2.1.0 re-added my jobs to the queue and the files completed at the correct speed.Running Win 10 Pro x64, bare metal install.
