I bought a Dell Laptop last summer, a Latitude D620, which came pre-installed with Roxio Creator Plus - Dell edition.Recently in the last few days, I have been getting an error message as I close down this application:- 'Mediahub.exe - application error' (2 consecutive error message screens) and- 'Microsoft Visual C Runtime Librairy runtime error, R6025 - pure virtual function call'I have tried uninstalling and then re-installing the application from the CD which came with the laptop, but nothing has changed: I still get the 3 error message screens above. The application still works fine for burning DVD's, but the error messages while closing it down are tiresome.I suspect a possible incompatibility with some of the latest Microsoft updates might be the cause, because I do not recall having installed anything else on my laptop in the last few weeks.Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.Thanks,Jacques Carrier. Thank goodness it is not just me!!I use My DVD LE (Sonic) which also came with my Dell Laptop (Inspiron) which I bought in 2005.I have not had any problems with it in all the time I have had it and have even been using it this week. All of a sudden today these messages have been coming up exactly as you described!I thought I would need to uninstall/reinstall it but it did not come with a disk so wouldn't know how. But it looks like that would not work anyway.I have done a system restore to a few days ago, before I used it last time when it was fine, but this has made absolutely no difference!!Like you say the program runs fine it's just when you close it down and it is really annoying!!I have been to the Dell wedsite who say that software issues have to be discussed on the phone (call paid for by credit/debit card) but I think I will try sending them an email anyway.But if anyone else has any ideas I would be EXTREMELY grateful!Thanks. I had the same problem.updated the burn engine on my MyDVD6 Deluxe and now the errors are gone. I installed the DELL data 204 version then I re installed my sonicdmp v7.2.1 disc that came with my dc7700 HP pc.Before I did this I got the 3 error messages mediahub.exe application errormemory could not be written and read then written again.After I then reinstalled my origonal CDroxio DIGITALMedia Plus (CDKIT 385844-B25)And all appears to be fine now this method should allow you to keep wmp11 without all the messing around the DELL patch must replace a system file that is not replaced with the 2006 roxio CD.Spideray.
